PostcodeGuard is being built to help Shopify merchants organise delivery regions, restrict postcodes and control which existing delivery options appear at checkout. The current preview lets you create and test rules locally. Shopify checkout integration is not yet active.

Yes, create a named region and enter your own carrier-approved postcodes or districts. Create separate regions for other destinations as needed. There is no universal Highlands list preselected: each merchant chooses the coverage appropriate to their carrier.

In the sandbox, choose United Kingdom (GB), Prefix matching and enter BT. This matches Northern Ireland postcodes beginning with BT. Test a full postcode before enabling a rule. Northern Ireland remains part of the United Kingdom for this country selection.

Exact matches one full postcode. Prefix matches everything beginning with your text: PO3 also matches PO30. District matches the UK outward postcode: PO3 matches PO3 addresses without matching PO30. Matching ignores spaces and letter case.

That is the intended design. Prices and weight bands stay in Shopify. The planned delivery integration will choose among existing options; it will not create new rates or change their prices. That integration is still pending.

The preview includes an optional shipping phone requirement. It currently checks that a phone number is present, not whether it is a valid mobile number or can receive calls. This check is not yet connected to live checkout.

The official-source snapshot includes 1,749,110 live Great Britain postcodes. Northern Ireland and the Crown Dependencies are excluded from these suggestions. You can still enter rules manually, including BT. Dataset coverage and licensing are explained in the app.

No. The preview plots postcode locations from a CSV you supply. Drag a rectangle to select points, review them and copy the selected exact postcodes into a region. It does not include street tiles or official postcode boundaries.

Preview rules are saved in local browser storage, rather than a Shopify merchant account. Export a JSON backup before clearing browser data or changing devices. CSV map points stay in the page memory and are not uploaded.

The sandbox supports maximum whole-order quantities and subtotal limits for matching regions. The maximum is inclusive. Value limits use the selected currency without conversion. Live enforcement is pending the Shopify integration.

Every applicable enabled rule is enforced. An exact-postcode exception exempts only the rule containing it. Check overlapping regions in the tester before publishing any future live configuration.

The planned subscription is £1.99 per month plus applicable VAT. Billing is not yet configured, and the sandbox does not take payment. There is no paid subscription available yet.
